Study at Unaerp

The International office at Unaerp is in charge of advising, guiding and prospecting international students, besides disclosing information and offering assistance for its students concerning scholarships, partner institutions, and opportunities abroad and in Brazil. 

Each document and procedure regarding an International student’s application should be handled directly with the International Office.

International students enrolled at Unaerp have the International Office as a support during their stay in Brazil.

Admissions for exchange students

Students who are interested in studying at Unaerp and are currently enrolled in one of our partner institutions may start the application process for Unaerp, following the signed conditions by both Institutions and after nomination from the home University.

For application:

  • The home institution should nomine the students by email at intercambio@portal.glima.online
  • The student(s) should read carefully the Application Guide, where it is comprehended with all the instructions and required documents by Unaerp for further assessment and acceptance.
  • The academic programs taught in Portuguese are available by clicking here. For the courses taught in English, click here.
  • After reading the Guide, students should fill in the Application Form with all required information

Internship and Research Activities

International students from partner institutions can also participate in internship programs at the Unaerp departments, clinics, and laboratories. International students from partner institutions can carry out research activities guided by our professors at Unaerp. FAQ

International students, through the mobility program (Exchange Students), must be nominated by the home institution and submit their application according to the deadlines below:

  • To study in the 01st semester from February to June: October 31st 
  • To study in the 02nd semester from August to December: May 30th

Academic Calendar:

  • 01st Semester: from early February to late June 
  • 02nd Semester: from early August to mid-December

Is it required to take a Language Proficiency Exam?

International students are not obliged to take a Portuguese proficiency exam. However, it is the student’s responsibility to be comfortable when it comes to learning lessons and living in environments which are completely in Portuguese.

For courses taught in English it is required a TOEFL IBT – 70, IELTS 5.5 or a letter from the partner institution attesting the student language level.

Are there courses taught in other languages?

Does Unaerp provide housing?

UNAERP does not offer housing on their campuses, each student is responsible for arranging their own accommodation. However, UNAERP assists and indicates some safe locals around the University.

Can I apply for an internship at Unaerp?

The foreigner who is in Brazil as a student regularly enrolled at a higher education institution has the right to participate in internships, paid or not, following the same conditions of a Brazilian student, as Law No. 11.788, OF 25 SEPTEMBER 2008 it is prohibited only the possibility of working with a formal contract.

What kind of visa do I need to study in Brazil?

All international students attending for a 06-month program are required to apply for a student visa, according to Brazilian law. For students attending less than 03 months the visa requirements depend on the student’s country of origin.
To apply for the visa or get further information, all successful students will receive a letter of acceptance – by email and by mail – and they should contact the Brazilian Consulate for assistance.

How is the grading system like?

Unaerp offers courses with a total workload of 33 hours or 67 hours (in the classroom/ face-to-face) or 80 hours (between the classroom and through AVA – Virtual Learning Environment – blended learning mode).
